Missing Letter is a fast vocabulary drill: a word appears with one letter blanked out, and four letter options are shown below it. Pick the correct letter and the next word appears.
The words are common five-to-eight-letter nouns, and the missing letter is always a single character. A wrong pick costs you your streak but not your score, so the game stays quick rather than punishing.
Sixty seconds, one point per word, and a local best score. It is a good warm-up for word games or a quick break.
How to play Missing Letter
- Read the word with the blank space.
- Click the letter that completes it, or press the matching key.
- Correct answers add a point and load the next word.
- Score as many words as possible in sixty seconds.
Tips & strategy
Missing Letter is pattern recognition. The surrounding letters usually narrow the answer to one or two possibilities.
- Read the whole word before looking at the options; the shape often makes the answer obvious.
- Check common letter pairs: QU, TH, CH, SH and PH rarely break across the blank.
- If two options both fit, say the word out loud — the wrong one usually sounds off.
- Eliminate letters that are already in the word; duplicated letters are possible but less common.
- Do not dwell on a hard word. A wrong guess costs less time than a long pause.
- Keep a rhythm: one word every two seconds is a strong pace.
